This means resolution, resolve, willpower. “Stand firm and you will save yourselves” (Luke 21:19)
This means regard highly, value, honour. “And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them” (Luke 6:31)
This means mutual trust and support. “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18)
This means the process of being given passion and/or ideas for a task. “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
This means being outstanding or extremely good. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23-24)
This connects us with each other. “We who are many, are one body in Christ” (Romans 12:5)
This means having strong moral principles e.g. honesty, decency, fairness, equality; having pure and balanced moral character. Whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." (Philippians 4:8)

Learning about careers
Broadening horizons about the world of work…
You are never too young to start thinking about the job you would like! Research shows that young people who participate in Career Education increase their knowledge about types of work and the pathways that could be followed to get there. Pupils can become more confident about their ability to achieve their aspirations. It can also impact on engagement with school and academic achievement.
At Our Lady’s we take every opportunity to teach children about the exciting world of work and higher education. From making connections with local companies to taking children to special careers conferences and inviting speakers in, we want our children to broaden their horizons and think about their future.
